Between the peaks of Bear Mountain and Bear Lake you will find Bear Mountain Inn Bed & Breakfast set on 48 acres of country charm where each season has its special meaning. Enjoy a wonderful hearty country breakfast by the fireplace and enjoy the tranquil setting on our deck while relaxing and taking in the picturesque scenery of the mountains and lake. Summer activity includes Horseback Riding and lessons, our sandy beach and floating dock for swimming, paddleboat, and canoes and kayaks are available for use on Bear Pond. We can arrange a canoe trip down the Saco River by renting a canoe, life jackets and pick up service. The Snowmobile Rental Company will deliver to the inn with 2 or more rentals or The Artic Cat Snowmobiles for one or two riders. We are located 15 minutes from Sunday River in Bethel and Shawnee Peak in Bridgeton. Ski or Snowshoe on the trails along the Bear River. Dog sled trips are offered for both full and half day trips. Bear Mountain Inn has a hill for sledding or tobogganing or visit our local tubing centers for a more thrilling ride. The White Birch Guide Service takes you to the best place for Ice Fishing and provide the equipment, licenses and a hot lunch. Rent a bike or bring your own, enjoy a walk along Bear River or hike to the top of Bear Mountain with its breathtaking panoromic landscape.
