Description
Located in the beautiful village of Woodstock, The Canterbury House was built in 1880 as a Victorian townhouse and is now owned and operated by Sue and Bob Frost. All 8 guestrooms, which are named after the tales in Chaucer’s the Canterbury Tales, have their own unique themes, many of which are furnished in antiques. The Monk’s Tale, at the back of the house, has its own private entrance and gas fireplace, a huge Victorian bath, and cable television. All of the rooms have private baths and air-conditioning. Sue’s breakfasts have proven to be the hit of many a guest’s day, just the hearty beginning one needs as they start out on a days excursion of skiing, biking, hiking, and shopping, all of which are readily available in the area. For your comfort, the Canterbury is non-smoking, they don’t accept children, and pets are not allowed..
