Description
A lovely village of eight housekeeping cottages in the heart of a complete four-season vacation area on the shore of Moosehead Lake. The surrounding wilderness area has hundreds of miles of woods, roads, and trails; get back into the woods and the ideal location for the fishermen with its many ponds, streams and rivers. You will not be isolated since gas stations, food outlets, churches, post office and hospitals are all available. Fine restaurants, gift shops, antique shops, tackle stores and, of course, the old-fashioned general stores. Each cottage has two bedrooms, bath with shower and hot water heater, kitchen-living room equipped with electric refrigerator, gas stove with oven, TV, thermostat controlled floor furnace and a nice screened in porch. All you need to bring is your own food. Hikers paradise with a climb up Big Squaw, White Cap, Big Spencer or Mount Kineo. We have a "Kineo Shuttle from our docks to the base of the mountain where you will enjoy three marked trails to the peak.

How to Get Here
Take i-95 to Newport, route 7 to Dexter, rt. 23 to Guilford, rte 15 to Greenville. At Greenville left at the blinking light and stay on route 15 for 20 mile to Rockwood Cottages.
