Description
The Great Hall of Dinosaurs displays dramatic fossil skeletons against the back drop of the great Pulizer Award winning mural "The Age of Reptiles". The Museum has a wonderful collection of more than 11 million specimens and artifacts in biology, paleontology, botany, geology, anthropology and historical scientific instruments. Throughout the Museum are exhibits that provide insights into the cultures, beliefs and daily lives of peoples from around the world past and present. Mineral Hall houses gems and minerals, amazonite, amethyst, and other treasures. The Hall of Connecticut Birds offers a comprehensive collection of the state's avian species. The Museum is open every day except on major holidays Mon. to Sat. 10:00am to 5:00pm, Sunday from noon to 5:00pm. Adults $5.00 Children 3-15 and Seniors $3.00.
