Description
The station was established in 1858, the present lighthouse built in 1858, and automated in 1974. Still standing is the keeper's house, 1858, the oil house 1902, and the barn 1905. The light house is constructed of brick and the tower stand 32 feet, the height of focal plane is 56 feet. It is now an active U.S. Coast Guard aid to navigation, and Coast Guard housing. The turn is 4 seconds red and 1 second darkness. Open to the public, grounds only
