Description
This is one of New England's greatest terrain areas, and when the snow is deep enough for the Castle Rock area to open, the challenge factor rises to expert-only at this trail pod. It is steep and deep. The rest of the mountain has wonderful cruising with a spectacular 10-minute lift right through the Green Mountain National Forest, connecting the two peaks. Referred to as "the best ski terrain in the east" by Skiing magazine, Sugarbush is one of the few resorts in New England with its original trail layout mostly intact. Sugarbush's 115 trails connect six mountain areas and cover 4,000 acres.

How to Get Here
From New Hampshire, Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts and points south: Take I-89 north to Rte. 100. Follow Rte. 100 south to the Sugarbush Access Road. Approximate drive time from I-89, exit 9 is 25 minutes (16 1/2 miles).
